Trailing 13-12 in the top of the eighth inning, Kale Misegades delivered a t wo-run single to give Ottertail Central a 14-13 lead over Frazee on Monday.  The Bulldogs were able to hold the lead in the bottom of the eighth to earn the victory.  Misegades finished his day with four hits in four at bats to lead OTC at the plate.

Lane Dilly (2IP, 2H, 2K, 0BB) was the winning pitcher.  Noah Link threw four-and-two-thirds innings of relief.

The loss went to Drew Mekalson (3.1I, 6K, 4R, 3H).

“A lot of good things were happening,” said Captain Jayden Harig of OTC.  “Sure, we had one bad inning, but Tyson (Misegades) buckled down and didn’t let that stop him.  We all rallied along with him, being led by Kale going 4-for-4.  It was a fun game for us and I’m very proud of the way we kept fighting, even though the odds were not in our favor for most of the game.”

Kaleb Hammes (3IP, 3R, 0H, 6K) and Teddy Grabe (2IP, 0H, 0R, 5K, 0BB) combined on a no-hitter as the Bulldogs won the JV game, 4-3.  This is the JV teams’ sixth no-hitter of the year.
