After falling 3-1 in the completion of a suspended game to start the day, the Ottertail Central Bulldogs proceeded to clinch at least a share of the Park Region Conference Championship with an 8-1 victory over Pillager in the regularly scheduled game between the two teams.

“Both teams were strong on the hill in the suspended game, but Pillager was just a little bit stronger at the plate,” said OTC Head Coach Ryan Hendrickson

Kaden Imdieke (7IP, R, 6H, 2K) was credited with the victory for the Huskies, while Noah Link (7IP, 3R, 4H, 7K) pitched well in defeat.  Tyson Misegades led Ottertail Central with 2 hits in 4 at bats.  Pillager was led at the plate by Elliott Imdieke and Lucas Hoglin who each had multiple hit efforts.

In the regularly scheduled game, Lane Dilly (5IP, 4H, 3K, BB, 0R) earned the win on the mound, in relief of starter Kale Misegades (2IP, H, R, K).  Eli Miller (5.1IP, 4K, 8H, 7R) took the loss for the Huskies.

OTC had 11 hits in the game with Link, Gavin Pausch and Tyson Misegades each producing multiple hit games.  Kaden Imdieke led Pillager with 2 hits.

“I am so dang proud of this team,” said Coach Hendrickson.  “They have truly earned all of their success this year.  They have played together for several years now and continue to improve every day.  A lot of these guys were playing varsity ball now for two to three years. We have gone from 4 wins, to 9 wins, and now we are sitting at 14 wins this year.  I cannot explain how hard they have worked and how focused they have been towards improvement.  This has been an outstanding ride with them!  One goal was met, but our total mission is not accomplished.  We have some section games next week that are going to be very important for Section playoff seedings.  I believe in these guys to keep moving forward towards a Section Championship!”
