The Henning boys’ basketball team dominated Bertha-Hewitt in a Park Region Conference contest on Thursday night, posting an 89-39 win over the Bears. Henning shot 57% (36-63) for the game and made 39% (11-28) from beyond the 3-point line. The Hornets had 26 assists and only turned the ball over 5 times.
“Another convincing PRC win tonight,” said Henning Head coach Randy Misegades. “We jumped out to a big lead early and increased that margin throughout the game. We shared the ball very well and got a lot of bench guys some extended minutes.”
Mason Hammer (17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals), Tyson Misegades (16 points, 5 assists, 3 steals), Carter Dilly (16 points) and Lane Dilly (11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) were the statistical leaders for the Hornets.
Bertha-Hewitt was led by Titus Eckel (11 points, 5 rebounds) and Brady Rach (10 points, 6 rebounds). The Bears hit just 38% (16-42) of their shots and connected on 37% (3-8) of their 3’s. They had 22 turnovers in the game.
Henning (13-1) is at Menahga on Tuesday night.
Bertha-Hewitt (6-6) will host Laporte on Friday night.
