Tyson Misegades (28 points, 4 rebounds), Mason Hammer (24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals) and Kale Misegades (16 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds) led the way for Henning. The Hornets shot 39% (26-66) from the floor and made 28% (8-28) of their 3’s. They also hit 17-of-23 (73%) free throws. Henning had only 3 turnovers on the night.
“We are excited and fortunate to come away with a victory tonight against one of the best teams in Section 5A,” commented Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Browerville-Eagle Valley came in and gave us everything we could handle. Offensively, they were ridiculous, making 15 three’s and shooting 60% from the field. Our guys made enough plays on the offensive end to stem the tide and we did a great job taking care of the ball. But, we have plenty to improve on defensively. We are looking forward to our trip to Target Center Saturday to take on Staples-Motley.”
Miguel Maloney (22 points, 9 rebounds), Hans Puck (15 points), Parker Duncan (11 points, 3 rebounds) and Kayden Tabatt (10 points) were the leaders for Browerville-Eagle Valley. Dominic DeCock added 8 rebounds. The Tigers shot 60% (25-41) overall and 65% (15-23) from behind the arc.
