The Perham girls' basketball team received 32 points off the bench on Tuesday night as they overcame an early 8 point deficit to rally for a 69-64 opening night win over the Hornets in Henning.

Willow Thiel poured in 17 points to lead the Yellowjackets and Cora Grismer came off the bench to score 10.  Mya Morris, Ryleigh Mickelson and Kaia Anderson added 8 points apiece, Olivia Rosenthal scored 6 and Olivia Pilgrim chipped in with 4.

Henning junior Lyvia Misegades had a huge night with 34 points.  She was joined in double figures by Ally Hart with 13.  Faith Fisher contributed 7 points for the Hornets.

Henning led by eight points with ten minutes to play, however, sparked by Grismer off the bench, Perham was able to overcome that deficit and post the five point win.

Henning will play a 6pm game at Battle Lake on Thursday night, while Perham stays on the road with a game in Detroit Lakes.
