Ottertail Central put 17 runs on the board Thursday as they cruised to a 17-6 victory over Hillcrest Lutheran Academy.

OTC took control with a 7-run second inning.  Kale Misegades (3IP, 2H, 2R, 5K, 1BB) earned the win on the mound and Kaleb Hammes threw two innings of relief for the Bulldogs.

Gavin Pausch (2-4, 4SB) led the Bulldogs attack.  OTC stole eight bases in the game.  Owen Buehler, Hunter Haugen, Drew Evavold, Lane Dilly and Pausch all drove in runs for the Bulldogs.

“We struggled to throw strikes and make plays when we had the opportunity,” said Hillcrest Head Coach Dave Weinrich.  “We give them a lot of credit.  They are well coached and play the game the right way.”

Zayne Weinrich had a RBI double for the Comets.  Nate Bermel, Evan Lindgren, Caden Fischer, Micah Bermel, Sam Reece and Joe Torgusson also contributed hits.

“We had some better at bats today,” noted Coach Weinrich.  “Nate and Evan were solid and continue to get better each game.  They both had hits and good at bats today.  Zayne played well again in center field.”

Hillcrest will host Hancock in a double header starting at 4:00pm Friday at American Legion Field in Fergus Falls.
